About Us

Welcome to Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio - we are a Registered Charity, Registration No. 274243 and started broadcasting at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1978.

We are delighted to have Ken Bruce as our Patron, who himself started his radio broadcasting at a Hospital Radio station.

We operate an FM radio transmitter at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital site and you can pick us up on 101.8FM.

It costs about £ 12,000 per year to keep the radio station running and that is without buying any new equipment or expanding our services.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers carrying out various fund raising events each year to raise money to keep the station going. We do not have any paid staff.

If you would like to make a donation to help keep the station running you can do so by clicking the DONATE button below, any amount no matter how small helps our work.
