Hi, My name is Phil Hearne. I was born an brought up in Lancashire with work causing me to end up here in Buckinghamshire. I spent over 30 years in education, leading a number of major organisations. Currently I work in publishing and present the Friday Night Request Show with Ashley Fraser. Before our show we walk around the hospital collecting song requests and dedications from our visitors, staff and patients.
I have always had an interest in music and playing music to audiences. My career has allowed me to work with national and local radio. I joined SMHR back in March 2018 where I learnt the ropes as a producer taking over the Friday night request show in September 2018.
Volunteering at SMHR was a great decision and I enjoy meeting new people and entertaining listeners.
